LISTED IN the following pages is a directory of known airlines of all sizes based in continental Africa and the nearby Atlantic and Indian Ocean islands. The airlines are listed in alphabetical order and the directory has been compiled from the results of a questionnaire sent out recently or the information obtained from other sources.

While ever effort has been made to ensure accuracy of the directory data, neither World Airnews nor its publisher will hold themselves responsible for any mistakes or omissions which may have occurred for whatever reason. Wherever possible, the postal address, telephone and fax numbers, the email address, the names of the senior executives and details of the airlines’ fleets have been given.

A thumbnail sketch of the individual carrier has been included from data supplied by the airline itself. In some cases, particularly as far as new start-up airlines are concerned, details as to the airline’s address or telephone/fax details could not be obtained by the time of going to press.
