BRITISH AIRWAYS VOTED THE BEST FULL SERVICE DOMESTIC AIRLINE AT ACSA AWARDS
British Airways receives feather award for the second consecutive year
British Airways (operated by Comair Limited), has for the second year running won the best full service domestic airline at this year’s Annual ACSA Feather Awards at King Shaka International Airport. “We are delighted as this accolade is a tribute t...o each team member’s passion for excellent service," says Heidi Brauer, Comair’s Executive Manager for Group Marketing.
The annual awards, held by the Airports Company South Africa (ACSA), recognise airlines’ service excellence at all ACSA airports. British Airways (operated by Comair Limited) has won the King Shaka International award as a result of customer perception-based surveys that were conducted throughout the year on a quarterly basis, and aims to use this model to create even more superior customer experience at all South African airports.
“An award of this calibre proves that, British Airways (operated by Comair Limited) remains the full service domestic airline of choice to South Africans” says Brauer.
Using accurate qualitative and quantitative research methods, fifty percent of the evaluation takes cognisance of four service elements:
Efficiency of airline staff;
Courtesy and helpfulness of airline staff;
Friendliness of airline staff;
Passenger assessment of baggage delivery of airline.
While the other fifty percent uses ACSA’s Quality Management System to evaluate:
Baggage delivery times;
Check-in queuing times (waiting and processing)
Boarding times (waiting and processing)
On-time performance.
“We are extremely proud to receive this award as it showcases our commitment to be at the forefront of outstanding service in the airline industry” says Brauer.
