EDITORIAL PLAN: 2013
The following is the editorial feature list planned for 2012. We reserve the right to amend or delete, without prior notice, any of the features as may become necessary during the year.
The following features are planned for World Airnews during 2012:
JANUARY: Full report on the annual conference of the African Airline Industry (AFRAA) at which one of the main topics will be the growing need for increased safety in African skies.
FEBRUARY: Follow-up on the November 2012 feature on the growing threat of piracy along the East Coast of Africa and the need for maritime surveillance aircraft.
MARCH: Part 1: CORPORATE JETS: A look at the light- to mediumweight corporate jet market and a directory of types on the drawing board, under development or in production.
APRIL: Part II: CORPORATE JETS: The top of the range corporate jets available today including those developed from airliners both new and used.
MAY: Military transport aircraft – a look at what is available today and especially those which are suitable to African nations’ pockets.
MALTA SPECIAL: A study of the growth of all forms of aviation on this small island and its impact on the Mediterranean area in particularly.
JUNE: To be announced.
JULY: The growing influence of the turboprop-powered aircraft in the African airline industry – both freight and passenger.
AUGUST: State of the African airline industry and our annual African airline industry directory.
SEPTEMBER: To be announced but possibly a review of the latest developments in avionics.
OCTOBER: The booming helicopter industry in Africa . How it is improving agriculture, industry and commerce.
NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER: Features to be announced at a later date.
PLEASE NOTE: All major air shows and exhibitions will be covered during the year by World Airnews, including: Paris, EBACE, Heli- Expo; NBAA, Oshkosh etc.
We reserve the right to amend the above listing according to circumstances.
SPECIAL FEATURE: Throughout the year, we will be keeping tabs on the piracy and cross-border incursion menaces and steps being taken to combat them, starting with February.
